These after school programs run  for six weeks

Sunday afternoon music at the library

 

The High Street Four String Quartet

Performers in this group include Columbus Symphony Orchestra violinist Ariane Sletner Biava, CSO Principal Cellist Luis Biava, CSO Assistant Concertmaster David Niwa, and CSO violist Kenichiro Matsuda. The program will include music of Ravel and Shostakovich.

Qube

A new string quartet in residence at Otterbein College, the group includes CSO violinist David Edge, CSO violinist Erin Gilliland, ProMusica Assistant Principal Cellist Cora Kuyvenhoven, and CSO violist Steve Wedell. They will play music of Mozart and Schumann.

A Mozart Birthday Celebration

Join us for cake and punch to celebrate Mozart’s 253rd birthday. Merry Pruitt will perform on the lobby piano.

Caroline Hong, pianist

An Associate Professor of Music at The Ohio State University, a graduate of the Peabody Institute and the Juilliard School, this accomplished professional is  well know to local audiences.

Leonid Polonsky, CSO Associate Concertmaster, and

pianist Nina Polonsky

The date for this program, expected to be in spring 2009, has not yet been set. Please watch for an announcement on our website, www.bexlib.org, and in local newspapers.

 

All performances, except the Mozart Birthday Celebration, will be in the library auditorium. Auditorium doors will open and tea will be served  at 2:30 p.m.

Everyone is invited and there will be no admission charge.

Expenses associated with these programs are underwritten by the Samuel C. Shamansky Fund and memberships in the Friends of Bexley Public Library.
