Friends of Bexley Public Library
The Friends of Bexley Public Library (Friends) re-organized in February of 2011. They are an Ohio non-profit corporation comprised of members of the community who recognize the need for organized support for the library.
The Friends support the library through both volunteerism and financial assistance. The Friends provide financial support for staff development and appreciation, library programming, and other initiatives that aid the library in the pursuit of its mission to enlighten, engage, and inspire a community of lifelong learners. These funds supplement the library’s two main revenue streams, which are from the Public Library Fund from the state of Ohio (currently about 66% of the library’s income) and a local operating levy (currently about 30% of the library’s income.)
